Arrive at the prearranged meeting point location in Maketū and join Skipper Deon Muir, for a day out exploring the moana (ocean), whilst immersing yourself on a personalised private guided fishing experience.

Professional sportsman, retired Super Rugby Chiefs Captain and New Zealand Māori All Blacks Captain shares his passion for Te Ao Māori (the Māori world view) and his personal, cultural connection with the ocean.

Learn a range of different fishing techniques, set the long line (very popular) as you tempt the delights of the sea. Catch & collect (maritime guidelines permitting) learn to fillet your fish. Your catch will be packaged to takeaway.
